I develop public relations programs that address the needs and interests of diverse audiences nationwide. But I see our mandate as going far beyond that. Our goals are also to make a difference, to positively impact the lives of those we touch, and to do right for our clients while doing good for their customers.

I began my career in public relations at another agency as an executive trainee, followed by a 10-plus-year stint in the firm’s Arts & Communications Counselors group, which is now also part of Finn Partners. I specialized in cultural and entertainment marketing and promotion and was a senior member of teams partnering with the Getty Center in Los Angeles, Chicago's Millennium Park, Foxwoods Casino's Mashantucket Pequot Museum, and numerous cultural sponsorship initiatives for Target, UBS, Condé Nast and The Chase Manhattan Corporation, among others.

When I was named director of the new multicultural practice in 2007, it was with the understanding that our campaigns would not only engage and excite consumers and generate important media coverage, but that we would "break the mold" of conventional campaigns and have an impact beyond traditional PR. We've done that and more. I have not only worked with some of the most iconic figures in the worlds of art, music, fashion, and entertainment, but have put our influence to work on behalf of a number of important causes. My team and I have raised both funds and visibility for disease awareness initiatives of particular importance to our demographic, including sickle cell anemia, breast cancer, and hypertension, and we've partnered with important non-profits such as the Urban League and Show Our Strength.

It's been a long and rewarding trip since I graduated from Dartmouth and then got my Masters from Boston University's College of Communication. As an appointee to Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs, I worked closely with Mayor Richard M. Daley to promote the arts. I've served with wonderful colleagues on the Board of Directors of ReadNet, Inc., and The Support Network, Inc., and been honored by Ebony and Black Noir Magazines, The Network Journal, and as The Support Network's Woman of the Year. And I'm honored to be a part of Finn Partners as it brings a new approach to our industry.
