Professional Experience

I have more than two decades of experience in technology communications, both in-house and agency side. Throughout my career, I’ve driven high-profile campaigns for leaders in the industry including Dell, HP, IBM, SAP and Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle). Prior to joining FINN, I ran marketing communications for the global venture capital firm Next47, where I was responsible for building awareness for the firm as well as counseling its portfolio of startups on communications strategy. I am passionate about technology and helping innovators tell great stories.

Technology, like art, is a soaring exercise of the human imagination.

- Daniel Bell

How'd you get here?

I majored in international relations at the American University of Paris and, like most college students, aspired to a profession that would have meaningful impact. I thought about journalism or maybe human rights law. At the end of my senior year, I landed an internship at IBM Europe in their communications department. This was in the late 1990s and my job was to help build a case study program to document the impact of the internet on business and government. It was fascinating and world-changing stuff; I was hooked. That internship became my first job and I stayed at IBM for several years. I left Paris for Silicon Valley in early 2000 to be part of the dot-com boom. Several boom and bust cycles later, I’m a little more jaded but still as hopeful about technology’s potential to change the world for the better.
