What Pride Means to Me

June 25, 2026

To me, Pride is about celebrating authenticity, courage, and the freedom for every person to be exactly who they are.

It’s also a reminder that visibility matters, representation matters, and that everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and valued in their communities, workplaces, and everyday lives.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life —business leaders, advocates, public servants, nonprofit leaders, and community voices. The most powerful stories I’ve encountered have one thing in common: they come from people who feel empowered to show up as their authentic selves. When people are given the space to do that, they build stronger relationships, stronger communities, and ultimately a stronger sense of belonging.

Pride is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of allyship. Being an ally is not a one-time action or a statement made during a single month of the year. It’s about listening, learning, speaking up when it matters, and helping create environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging. It means recognizing that progress is made not only through major milestones, but also through the everyday choices we make to support one another.

As a mother of three daughters, Pride also carries a very personal meaning. I want my girls to grow up in a world where kindness, empathy, and respect are non-negotiable; where people are celebrated for who they are, not pressured to fit someone else’s expectations. I hope they learn the importance of standing alongside others, voicing when something isn’t right, and helping create communities where everyone feels welcome.

One of the things I value most about FINN is our commitment to people and to fostering a culture where different perspectives are welcomed and celebrated. That commitment strengthens our work, our relationships, and our ability to connect with the diverse communities we serve around the world.

This Pride Month, I’m celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community, honoring the progress that has been made, and reaffirming the importance of continuing to build a more inclusive future — one where everyone can proudly live authentically.

Happy Pride.
