FINN Partners Promotes John Bianchi to Partner, New York Health

NEW YORK – Global independent marketing and communications firm FINN Partners today announced the promotion of John Bianchi to Partner, head of editorial services for the FINN Health Practice. The promotion recognizes Bianchi for his leadership and contributions to the FINN Health Editorial Services team, responsible for providing strategic guidance and high-quality content to support clients’ reputations, thought leadership, and brand-related communications.

A communications professional with more than 30 years of in-house and agency experience, Bianchi oversees editorial programs in the growing FINN Health Editorial Services group, comprised of a team of experienced writers and storytellers of diverse backgrounds who excel in multiple communication disciplines. FINN writers include former journalists hailing from national print and broadcast news and social media outlets, and those who have worked for major drug manufacturers, biotech innovators, research institutions and health systems, many of whom hold master’s, PhD or MD degrees.

Bianchi joined FINN Partners in 2014 and was named vice president in 2015. He joined FINN after serving as interim communications director at The New York Times. In that role, he collaborated with editorial-side senior staff on media strategy and led media relations efforts for news content. Previously, he held leadership roles at Goodman Media International and The National Audubon Society, where he worked on a range of issues spanning sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, climate change, cancer care, and health equity. Bianchi began his career as a media relations specialist in television news, serving at CBS News, CNN and NBC News, where he successfully rebuilt the public reputation of the news magazine “Dateline NBC,” helping to turn it into a long-running success.
