November 14, 2023
NEW YORK – FINN Partners, a leading global integrated marketing and communications agency, today announced that its Consumer Lifestyle and Sports (CLS) team has secured USA Fencing as a new client that will bring the team’s Olympic work and expertise to its tenth Olympic Games, dating back to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
USA Fencing, the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of fencing in the United States, supports the growth and development of fencing with newcomers, collegiate athletes, Olympians, Paralympians, and everyone who loves the sport of fencing. Overall, USA Fencing conducts more than 400 events each year including the largest combined Olympic & Paralympic series in the world, with fencing one of five sports contested at every Olympics since 1896.
USA Fencing and CEO Phil Andrews has tapped FINN Partners to help elevate the sport of fencing through strategy development, creative activations, and ongoing athlete storytelling. Additionally, FINN will provide USA Fencing with comprehensive support and planning around the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
“We love the Olympics and putting sports, athletes, and brands on the world stage,” said Missy Farren, Managing Partner, FINN Consumer Lifestyle and Sports. “USA Fencing has a fascinating history and incredible athletes that are the best in the world at what they do, and we are excited to bring our decades of Olympic experience to drive the sport of fencing to new heights.”
“Although Fencing continues between Games, the Olympic & Paralympic Games provide a window of opportunity to showcase this special sport once every four years,” said Andrews. “As we continue to build on record growth of our sport, we appreciate our partnership with FINN to bring the joy and awareness of Fencing to more people than ever before.”
FINN’s CLS team has more than 20 years of experience of working with some of the biggest Olympians of our time including Shaun White, Bode Miller, and Carissa Moore and organizations like US Ski and Snowboard. The team has elevated brands, athletes, and news sports and disciplines such as snowboarding, freeskiing, BMX and surfing as they made their Olympic debut.
