January 31, 2023

NEW YORK – Today, FINN Partners announced that Alan Isacson, who led FINN’s Global Manufacturing Sector for five years and founded ABI, an international, B2B marketing firm nearly 40 years ago, has been named a Strategic Advisor to the firm.

“Alan worked to establish ABI as an expert in the industrial and trade sectors, and he grew his business to include offices in New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, and Shanghai.  Alan’s ability to help B2B companies create winning strategies and build sales was instrumental in his success as the founder of ABI and as a Managing Partner with FINN,” said Peter Finn, CEO.  “Alan’s contributions across the years – and across geographics, have helped propel our client companies and our firm forward.”

With a specialization across packaging, food, health, chemical, industrial, and environmental sectors, Isacson and his team established FINN Partners’ Manufacturing Practice, regionally and globally.  The Manufacturing Practice will continue to drive client success under the management of FINN’s regional leaders, who combined, have more than 50 years’ experience in industrial and trade marketing.

“In my Strategic Advisor role, I will continue my relationship with FINN as well as pursue several personal interests, including wildlife photography and book writing,” said Isacson.  “I also have plans to give back to the industry by serving as a speaker before B2B associations and conferences, as well as work with students interested in pursuing business careers.”

Isascon spent decades supporting some of the world’s best-known industrial and manufacturing brands, including, BOSCH, Mitsubishi, EPSON, International Paper, Saint-Gobain, SCHOTT, Eastman Chemical, Duracell, and Crown.

Isacson began his career with the United States Army, where he was trained as an operator of heavy construction equipment – an experience that would portend his professional trajectory. Isacson also served as a drill sergeant for the 78th Division Leadership Academy at Fort Dix. After active duty, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and worked on a major Niagara Mowark tank job for GATX in Oswego, NY. Eventually, Isacson parlayed his experience into a successful marketing communications career; his first client was Label-Aire, which manufactured labeling equipment.

“I was excited,” said Isacson. “While my colleagues preferred to work on consumer-oriented clients, I found my calling in helping manufacturing and technology companies build B2B sales and grow market share, worldwide.”

He founded ABI in 1980.

“I have tremendous respect for entrepreneurs in our industry, many of whom join us as acquired firms,” said Finn. “I am grateful that Alan will continue to utilize this vast knowledge, experience and connections to support our agency in a Strategic Advisor role.
