As SVP, New Business, you’ll leverage your network, industry knowledge, and strategic insight to identify, engage, and secure new client relationships. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to potential new clients, guiding early-stage conversations, demonstrating Finn’s values, and opening doors to meaningful opportunities. This is not a transactional role – you’ll be a visible, influential ambassador for the agency, shaping how professional services clients experience Finn’s capabilities and expertise. 

You will play a pivotal role in generating leads, shaping proposals, and serving as a visible ambassador for Finn Partners by bringing insight, perspective, and creativity to every client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on professional services and law firms, leveraging existing networks and industry relationships to generate meaningful opportunities.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Finn Partners by sharing insights, thought leadership, and industry expertise to strengthen our presence in the professional service sector.
  • Lead early-stage client conversations, providing strategic guidance and demonstrating value while identifying long-term partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals, RFP responses, and pitch presentations that reflect both client needs and agency capabilities.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to participate in industry events, sponsorships, and content initiatives that reinforce the agency’s leadership in the professional service space.
  • Track and report new business initiatives, client engagement, and pipeline activity to inform strategy and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Mentor and advise internal teams on client engagement strategies and business development best practices, helping to elevate the agency’s overall growth capabilities.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, or growth roles within a creative, communications, or integrated agency environment.
  • Experience in legal, professional services or B2B sectors strongly preferred.
  • A well-established and active professional network.
  • Demonstrated experience and a strong network within professional services, particularly law firms, and a track record of business development success in these sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills. You can simplify complexity and sell big ideas.
  • Strong grasp of marketing, branding, digital, and communication strategies.
  • Experience participating in or leading successful pitches across diverse sectors.
  • A strategic mindset with an innate curiosity about client challenges and opportunities.
  • A proactive, collaborative spirit—you know when to lead and when to support.

Anticipated Salary: $150,000 – $200,000

 

Compensation is based on experience and dependent upon workplace location.
