Research Coordinator
Location: Honolulu, HI
FINN Partners’ Honolulu office is looking for a Research Coordinator to help support FINN Partners’ primary research data collection unit, as well as the overall Research team. This role involves supporting the team responsible for conducting telephone and in-person intercept surveys, as well as recruiting for and coordinating logistics of in-person and online qualitative research such as focus groups, mock juries, and in-depth interviews. You will be accountable for maintaining high standards of data quality, operational efficiency, and project delivery within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
To be considered for this role you will need to be located in Honolulu. You will be expected to be in the office at least 4 days a week and may occasionally be required to work during evenings and weekends, as well as overnight travel.
Additionally, you will be tasked with:
- Providing in-person and/or online support for focus groups and in-depth interviews, including coordinating logistics for space planning, staffing, food and beverages, parking validations, nametags, gratuity fulfillment, etc.
- Supporting Call Center work for focus group recruiting – videoconferencing technology testing with research participants.
- Serving as lead host for in-person qualitative research projects.
- Coordinating schedules for intercept interviewers
- Serving as field supervisor for intercept projects.
- Helping to ensure intercept interviews are conducted according to existing standards.
- Covering for Call Center manager when needed.
- Reconciling project expenses and tracking resource allocations.
The ideal candidate brings exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. A self-starter who can assess situations, identify needs, rally people, and follow processes in a fast-paced setting, the Research Coordinator will be deadline driven, respond well under pressure and possess a strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness. Additionally, they will bring a demonstrated knowledge (or acute curiosity) of Hawaii’s culture and its impact on business, understanding the role of communications in marketing and public relations, and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Along with the qualifications listed above, you will be considered as a candidate if you have:
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in market research, marketing, communications, client services, or related field.
- Solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
- An ability to respond well under pressure.
- A strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness.
- An ability to balance the needs of clients, end users, and the business.
- Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- An ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Behavioral Sciences, Marketing, or related field.
Compensation Range: $40,000 – $50,000 commensurate with experience.
