From Urban Gridlock to Outdoor Lifestyle: Showcasing Salt Lake’s Year-Round Adventure at the Olympian’s Playground

In an effort to redefine perceptions of Salt Lake, FINN set out to immerse NYC consumers in the destination’s dynamic, year-round lifestyle. Our goal was to spotlight the city’s unique fusion of high-octane adventure, vibrant culture, acclaimed culinary scene, and its storied legacy of sports.

Tasked with bringing the full “Salt Lake experience” to the East Coast, we set out to create a vibrant, immersive event for NYC consumers. Our mission: to showcase the city’s unexpected blend of year-round adventure, culture, acclaimed culinary scene, and a legacy of sports—all without leaving New York.

The Work

The FINN team concepted the entire event program to highlight crucial elements from Salt Lake such as outdoor adventure and accessibility, food and beverage offerings, wildflowers and the legacy of the Winter Games. Utilizing relationships with current Salt Lake-based FINN clients, the team mobilized these connections to deliver on-site consumer activations including workout classes led by professional instructors from  Life Time, Olympic Athlete meet & greets with U.S. Ski + Snowboard and breakfast tastings from Kodiak.

The PR team pitched and invited media contacts spanning across lifestyle, travel, fitness, and outdoor industries to join clients and local consumers to come experience the destination’s unique offerings.
