Surrounded by more polished law firm brands but every bit as good or better, this Boston-based firm needs to elevate their brand, mark their territory and declare their difference. The firm has been on a steady growth path thanks to a service model grounded in high-touch attention and practical problem solving. This approach attracts clients and recruits to the firm. Standing out and apart in a crowded field is the challenge.
GOAL
Convey the notion of old-world lawyering, service and relationships as a craft for today’s world of business and personal legal matters. Match the quality of the firm’s brand with the quality of its clientele, people and work.

In collaboration with the firm’s leadership and marketing/BD teams, here is what FINN delivered to Rubin Rudman:
- Designed a new look, feel and voice for firm communications, guided by a new Northstar theme: “Where experience leads.”
- Designed and produced a new logo, identity system, and approach to communications that conveys client care and legal solutions as a craft.
- Planned, designed, developed (WordPress CMS), and wrote much of the new rubin.com.
- Conceived and built an interactive firm values module for web and other uses called the Rubin Rules of Law.
- Built a new, refreshed suite of recruiting and business development tools.
- Created new brand standards, a curated image library, new approach to bio photography, and suites of social media/email marketing templates.
This project integrated the following FINN skills: research and market insights; brand strategy and positioning; brand design; website planning, design, writing and development; sales and social tools template design and writing.
