Grabbing attention for a groundbreaking approach to educator advancement.

During the 2021/22 academic year, K12 schools were struggling to recruit and retain educators. Many were leaving the profession—or contemplating doing so—while schools struggled to keep students on track as Covid persisted.

We partnered with BloomBoard—a modern, innovative educator advancement solution—on specific PR campaigns to increase participation in the company’s programs in Kentucky, Illinois and Oklahoma. Highlighting local adoption of the BloomBoard program was also meant to drive awareness for other districts that sought a competitive recruitment edge.


Increase enrollment in the company’s educator advancement programs in target growth states of Kentucky, Illinois and Oklahoma, by spotlighting the program’s career and salary benefits for teachers across each state.

The Work

With school districts facing unprecedented challenges during the height of Covid, we helped BloomBoard gain attention for their educator advancement programs in highly-targeted local earned media placements.

Targeting districts in three priority states with existing BloomBoard contracts—Kentucky, Illinois and Oklahoma— we, earned local media coverage that illustrated the life-changing opportunities available to teachers seeking professional advancement and credentials. Geo-targeted iHeart Radio ads rounded out the integrated campaign.

By highlighting the BloomBoard program’s opportunity for educators to gain salary increases and career advancement opportunities, the campaign resulted in significantly increased program awareness and 62 new educators enrolled in just one month.
