Before joining FINN, I worked for nearly 15 years in Washington, DC. A large part of that time was serving as Press Secretary to former U.S. Senator Wendell Ford for nearly 11 years before he retired in January 1999. After working on the Hill, I joined Shandwick Public Affairs (which later became Weber Shandwick) and their DC office, Powell-Tate Public Affairs. While there, I was a Vice President/Group Director and oversaw a 10-person media team that worked on a variety of clients from the White House to NASCAR. Working in public relations has given me an opportunity to develop and be part of client programs and campaigns that have literally changed peoples’ lives, and is the reason I look forward to seeing what every day will bring.
