Professional Experience

As clients navigate the challenges of discovery and development and regulatory and access hurdles, it is my responsibility to help them hone brand positioning using communications to enhance reputation and credibility. For 30 years I have championed clients from around the world, counseling them on corporate and financial communications, reputation management, business-to-business relations, medical writing, key opinion leader engagement, patient-to-patient communications, and clinical trial awareness. In 2001, took a giant leap and launched Lazar Partners, a pioneer firm recognizing that companies need integrated PR and IR communications services to connect information with valuation. Beforehand, after years at the trading desk, I served in leadership roles at Edelman Public Relations, Dewe Rogerson Inc. (now Citigate Group) and as special communications advisor to Ciba-Geigy in Basel, Switzerland. I also speak French, German and Spanish fluently.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

How'd you get here?

In elementary school, I ran for 5th grade class president promising the electorate that if chosen, I would place soda in hallway water fountains. I realized then that communications could motivate people to learn and pursue important choices. Later, as an economist and constant observer of how economics impacts communications, theoretical turned to practical as a commodities trader. That role was a steppingstone to investor relations and the opportunity to counsel many of the world’s largest corporations, including several biopharma companies that pioneered the first wave of great medical innovation. After a stint at a global pharmaceutical company and leading two global agencies’ practices, I launched Lazar Partners, collaborating with innovative companies and amazing colleagues. Now part of FINN Partners, we continue our adventure with the reach and brain power of global agency leader known for its entrepreneurial spirit.
