Gearing media up with Marmot’s reinvigorated product design and brand story

Assignment

Connect with outdoor and consumer media from top-tier target outlets to showcase Marmot’s upcoming product launches featuring new technologies and innovative design, to tell the story of where the brand is looking to go in the coming year.

Approach

Attended both the Winter and Summer Outdoor Media Alliance (OMA) Media Shows this year on behalf of Marmot, with 60+ scheduled media appointments throughout the events.

We showcased the upcoming Fall ’25 and Spring ’26 apparel and equipment for long lead interest, as well the top product stories from the current line for short lead.

To build on the established media relationships following the event, we coordinated media seedings of Fall and Spring samples for testing and editorial consideration in upcoming and future product stories and gear reviews.

Results

We created an opportunity for Marmot to tell the story of how the brand is taking big steps to continue the evolution of its well-established position in the outdoor retail industry, through showing media the product innovation face-to-face.

This platform allowed us to establish new and strengthen existing relationships with top-tier media across the outdoor and consumer space on behalf of the brand, and allowed media to get a better understanding of the brand direction and new technologies.

The events resulted in an increase in media product testing and awareness around Marmot’s evolving brand story, resulting in a boost in coverage following the events and throughout the year, including a dedicated brand story in GearJunkie – Call It a Comeback: Marmot GM Outlines Missteps & How the Brand Will Win Back Outdoor Faithful.
