From Surgical Robotics to GEO: What We’re Watching at DeviceTalks Boston
May 26, 2026
Excited to attend this important meeting with Carrie Young as this year’s agenda shows that it will be one the most interesting conferences yet. Some things that I am looking forward to:
Keynotes that touch on issues central to commercial success: Devi Govender, Worldwide President of Heart Recovery at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, opens the conversation on expanding clinical impact in cardiovascular care, a space where the stakes are as high as they get. Ashley McEvoy, CEO of Insulet, brings a consumer-centered philosophy that’s reshaping how MedTech brands actually connect with patients. And the closing keynote? Noland Arbaugh, the world’s first Neuralink user, live demonstration of neural control. Full stop. Be in that room.
The session every MedTech communicator needs to hear: “The Physician’s Veto: Why 90% of Health Tech Pilots Never Scale” Brilliant devices fail not because the science isn’t there, but because the story wasn’t told to the right people, in the right way. Clinicians, administrators, payers: they all need a different message. I work through this with clients every day, and I can’t wait to bring a communications lens to this one.
The shift most companies are sleeping on: The world has moved past traditional search. Clinicians and hospital buyers are increasingly using generative AI tools to research technical specs and clinical outcomes and if your brand isn’t the answer those engines return, you’re invisible at the moment of decision. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) isn’t a buzzword. It’s embedded in the way your stakeholders take action every day.
Surgical robotics is having its moment: AI-powered real-time surgical assistance. The case for incisionless surgery. The robotics sessions alone reflect a category that is poised to transform care and clinical impact.
Women in MedTech Breakfast (Finn Partners is a proud sponsor): Kayleen M. Brown of DeviceTalks sits down with tag Carla Goulart Peron, Chief Medical Officer of Royal Philips. Breakout discussions anchored by senior leaders from Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and more. The talent and leadership in that room every year is something else.
Whether you’re launching a device, scaling a platform, or navigating the regulatory and reimbursement maze, the FINN Partners team is here to help you tell that story with clarity and conviction.
