Account Supervisor, Influencer Marketing

Location: Chicago, Detroit, or Minneapolis

Do you know how to turn a cultural moment into a brand movement? We are seeking a social-first strategist and creator-culture expert to join our Webby and Shorty Award-winning Midwest Digital & Social team as an Account Supervisor, Influencer Strategy. We need a strategic lead who understands that influencers are the engine of modern brand reputation and can move beyond transactional posts into the realm of authentic, “never-done-before” partnerships.

Joining a team with massive momentum, you will be a candidate who can negotiate a complex creator contract one hour and pilot AI-driven sourcing workflows the next. You will serve as the calm, confident connective tissue across our hybrid PR, creative, and paid media teams—acting as a trusted advisor who proactively recommends bold creator frameworks and seizes reactive cultural moments to help our clients win the internet.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of influencer programs, from initial strategy and creator sourcing to contract negotiation, content oversight, and performance analysis.
  • Act as the primary strategic lead for influencer work, proactively recommending creator shortlists, content briefs, and amplification strategies that solve real business problems.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between PR, social, and paid media teams to ensure influencer work is integrated, impactful, and on-brand.
  • Utilize social listening, AI, and analytics tools to uncover opportunities and identify creators who can authentically tap into cultural tensions.
  • Manage day-to-day client communications, navigating feedback and troubleshooting issues like creator falloff or legal/usage concerns with data-backed solutions.
  • Research, pilot, and apply emerging technologies and AI tools to increase productivity and give influencer programs a competitive edge.
  • Oversee program-specific financial health, including creator fees, gifting budgets, monthly billing, and profitability assessments.
  • Mentor junior team members, setting high standards for professionalism and teaching the “why” behind creator selection and social-first strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment with a specific focus on influencer and creator strategy.
  • Proven track record of executing high-impact, award-winning influencer campaigns that drive relevance and ROI.
  • Deep knowledge of the social landscape, FTC guidelines, creator trends, and the technical mechanics of platform algorithms.
  • Ability to translate complex campaign data into actionable insights and strategic reports for senior-level clients.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills with the ability to lead presentations and pitch creator-led ideas with conviction.
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple creator workstreams and timelines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in influencer marketing platforms, social listening tools, and a passion for adopting new AI-driven workflows.
  • Previous work portfolio preferred but not required.
