Senior Account Executive/ Account Supervisor- Health PR

Location: New York

This SAE/AS role is based in our NYC office.  Weekly work schedule is up to 3 weekdays in-office and balance of weekdays working from home remotely.  Qualified current metro-NYC area public relations applicants are preferred for this role. 

We are seeking applicants interested in joining our health communications practice, supporting clients across the pharmaceutical, MedTech, health advocacy, and broader health ecosystem. Ideal candidates will have prior public relations agency–based  experience, preferably working on communications campaigns for health clients, though experience in other regulated or complex industries is also valued. Applicants must hold a college degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism (or related field), demonstrate strong writing and storytelling skills, and be available for immediate hire. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Now that we’ve (hopefully) sold you on us, let’s talk about this role and our team:

Responsibilities:

·       Manage day-to-day social media activities and deliverables (e.g., content calendars, paid campaigns, metrics reports, etc.).

·       Develop and cultivate relationships with the client and external agency partners.

·       Build engagements and relationships with influential voices.

·       Analyze content performance and distill data into actionable insights that will inform future strategies.

·       Maintain quality control across evolving social media deliverables and ensure client requests are remembered and pulled through across projects.

·       Assist in the management of account administration duties such as paid campaign billing and financial reporting.

·       Mentor junior employees interested in the specialty.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism or related field
  • Passion for public relations with a specific focus on financial services clients (both financial services B2B and financial services B2C).
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • PR agency experience (at least 3 – 5 years) working on clients in the health space
  • Experience working with traditional and social media strategies and campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate with team to execute successful media relations programs

  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communications skills both oral and written (including editing skills)
  • Experience using all Microsoft Office products
  • Solid grasp of basic media monitoring tools (Cision, Vocus, etc.)

Anticipated Salary is $90K-$110K.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
