Advancing health equity.

Our role was to help expand the global access narrative to include health equity and inclusion. We also aimed to amplify the need for stakeholder action and investment in integrated, inclusive health systems – through an innovative partnership between Gilead and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), a leading global think tank, targeted media outreach and strategic engagement with global experts from industry, NGOs, think tanks, government officials.

The Work

FINN Partners defined the strategy for the partnership with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), led in-depth country research, and coordinated the collaboration between Gilead and ORF. In partnership with ORF, we helped drive discussions on health equity and inclusion, coordinated global speaking opportunities, and managed high-profile media outreach to raise awareness around access to medicines and healthcare systems. Our team also produced thought leadership content and published insights to support the expansion of access to life-saving treatments and promote inclusive, integrated healthcare solutions.

We organized and moderated two expert stakeholder roundtables to demonstrate Gilead’s commitment to listening and learning from those working on access to medicines in low- and middle-income countries.

Results included:

  • A landmark report sharing lessons from 12 programs from 6 countries (Bangladesh, India, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa and Vietnam), applying health innovation to improve health equity and inclusion across the global South
  • Launch at Raisina Dialogue, Delhi – premier global policy forum co-hosted by ORF and Ministry of External Affairs of India: 80+ young policy and political leaders from 15+ countries and 1 exclusive health correspondent in attendance
  • Strategic communications campaign concentrated on India
  • 17 publications in key Indian media outlets, with 50m+ reach
  • Series of 3 OpEds in the Hindustan Times running over the 3 days of Raisina, with 237m reach
  • Placement of co-authored OpEd by ORF/Gilead in ET HealthWorld, top tier Indian media, with 32m reach 
  • Interviews and OpEds in top tier national media in SSA ​
