Commvault, LANXESS and Unity deepen relationship with Ying Communications

Latest addition to Finn Partners network to take on regional hub and social media responsibilities

Singapore – 2017 is turning out to be a great year for Ying Communications, a Finn Partners company. Three key clients have expanded their partnerships with the agency with bigger remits – greater regional coverage in the case of Commvault and LANXESS; and a new social media retainer for Unity Technologies.

Ying Communications, which turned 16 in May this year, manages regional communications programs for many B2B clients, including security company Carbon Black and modern analytics platform company Cloudera. Most recently, Ying ran the media relations program for INTERPOL World 2017, hosted by INTERPOL and organised by MP International.

Commvault, a leading provider of data protection and information management solutions, has been a client since May 2013. The retainer initially covered the ASEAN region, but in 2017, Commvault officially appointed Ying PR as its APAC content hub agency, driving communications strategy and content across the region. Ying PR has consistently delivered year-on-year growth in coverage and ideas to position Commvault as a leader in the data management space.

“The tech industry in Asia is a growing but increasingly crowded space. To stand out, we need to better communicate the business value we bring in an engaging way. The Ying Communications team has been willing and able to think outside the traditional PR box to try new things, and come up with creative ideas to get our messages to market more effectively,” said Jezmynn Koh, Director of Communications, Asia Pacific, Commvault. “We are very happy to be working with the team to drive communications across Asia Pacific, raising the bar across the region.”

LANXESS, a leading specialty chemicals company has extended the agency’s remit from Singapore to now include other key Southeast Asian countries – Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The relationship began in January 2013, with the agency supporting LANXESS’ communications efforts in various ways, including media outreach, CSR, trade show PR, and media training.

“Our partnership with Ying Communications is one we value very much. The team has done a tremendous job for us in Singapore. As we expand our communications outreach to the rest of Southeast Asia, one of LANXESS growth regions, we have every confidence that they will bring the same level of professionalism and deliver similarly outstanding outcomes in the other markets,” said Ms Aoshuang Xiao, Head of Corporate Communications, APAC, LANXESS.

Unity Technologies is the creator of a flexible and high-performance end-to-end development platform used to create rich interactive 2D, 3D, VR and AR experiences. Today, 50 percent of mobile games and 70 percent of all AR/VR content are developed on Unity. Ying Communications has been working as Unity’s APAC agency since January 2017, and the retainer has now been extended to cover social media, with the firm managing its APAC Facebook page.

“Both Ying and Finn Partners have a long history of working with some of the world’s most innovative companies. Commvault, LANXESS and Unity represent three great examples of this, as they continue to invest in building advanced solutions and driving conversations around the latest trends in big data, AI, AR and VR, and sustainability in their industries. We couldn’t be happier to be sharing this journey with them,” said Naeema Ismail, General Manager, Ying PR.
