Art & Place (Phaidon Press) is an unprecedented overview of site-specific art across North, Central, and South America. The book offers an in depth and extensive look at major works throughout history that are inextricably linked with their location. From Isamu Noguchi at Storm King Art Center, and Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate in Chicago, to the Toltec warriors at Tula all the featured works are specifically made for, or installed in, a particular place—a landscape, an interior, or an urban environment.

Media Connect’s strategy was straightforward: Target and create customized pitches for Art & Place and for each category of media including newspapers, magazines and online. Based on our long term media relationships and the visual appeal of the book, the press response was both qualitative and quantitative resulting in more than 33 million impressions over a 5 month timeframe. Additionally, by leveraging the appeal of Art & Place, Finn Partners created a stronger and more visible identity for Phaidon Press among American media.
