Senior Account Executive to Account Supervisor

Location: Washington, DC

FINN Partners is seeking candidates for Senior Account Executive to Account Supervisor to join our growing team in Washington, DC. You will join a team that works with local and national clients in the health, consumer education and non-profit industries. Candidates for these positions should have 3-7 years of experience, with at least two years at an agency, excellent media relationships and a proven ability to work efficiently multiple teams and projects simultaneously. We are looking for a rising leader with proven experience reaching decision-makers through innovative integrated media campaigns, who is digitally savvy, is a strong, deadline-driven writer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate account management activities: calls, follow up reports, media monitoring on a portfolio of prominent clients crossing over various sectors including  non-profit, health, education and global issues. (SAE)
  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities on a portfolio of prominent clients crossing over various sectors including  non-profit, health, education and global issues. (AS)
  • Develop client content, including media materials (press releases, fact sheets, Q&As) online content, contributed articles, media pitches.
  • Participate in media and influencer outreach.
  • Help deliver high-quality programs that meet and exceed client goals
  • Develop creative narratives and storylines that break through to policy, consumer and trade media.
  • Building an understanding and knowledge of client business and their competitive environments, monitor and proactively flag trends and articles relevant to client business.
  • Working with team members to respond to client requests and ensure requests are taken care of in an efficient manner.
  • Assist with new business Initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of Public Relations experience required, with at least two years at an agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of client service, including execution of PR plans, media pitching, managing service teams, reporting, budgeting and new business development. (AS)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple accounts.
  • Capacity to work independently and with others in a small office setting where teamwork is highly valued.
  • Creativity, ingenuity, and vision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English or related field
  • Experience using all Microsoft Office products
  • Solid grasp of basic media monitoring tools (Cision, Vocus, etc.)
  • Understanding of the public relations industry and its basic principles #LI-AB1
