Richard has over a decade of PR and communications experience, starting first in consumer/FMCG communications working with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious wine and spirit brands, before moving to corporate communications and public affairs, working with a diverse roster of clients across the healthcare, pharma, business, tech, and semi-state sectors.
Richard studied Business & Sociology in Trinity College Dublin and also holds both a Certificate in Crisis Communications and Issues Management with the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, and a Diploma in Corporate Law & Governance with the Law Society of Ireland.

How'd you get here
My career started in marketing for international wine and spirit brands, from big supermarket names to small niche outfits. I loved learning about each of the brands, their histories, and their unique propositions, and communicating these effectively to the trade and the public. Having studied Business in university it was a natural transition to Corporate PR, applying my communications skills to organisations that impact our daily lives in both explicit and implicit ways, helping them tell their stories and advising them on strategic approaches to communications. I’m eternally curious and working in an agency helps scratch this itch; in one week I could be working with clients involved in road building, biotechnology, retail, industrial gases, and travel – there’s never a dull day!
