Senior Account Executive
Laura Winchester comes from a family of physicians and is inspired to make a difference in the healthcare space. Laura is a Senior Account Executive on the Finn Partners Health team, based in Chicago, where she supports St. Jude Medical’s (now Abbott) cardiology and neuromodulation divisions.
For her clients, Laura helps build and activate earned and social media campaigns reaching consumers, professionals, and influencers; supports FDA approvals; develops corporate narratives, and has helped clients with media training and preparedness as well as spokesperson development. She is a strong researcher and writer, with account management experience building and managing programming and budget activities.
Prior to Finn Partners, Laura worked on the health team at Edelman, where she provided communications support for a number of clients, including Biogen, AbbVie’s HUMIRA, Hologic, Baxalta, GE Healthcare IT, and Foundation Fighting Blindness. For Biogen, she worked on an unbranded disease awareness campaign for early Alzheimer’s disease and played a key role in material development and planning. She contributed to Baxalta’s Bleed-Free World Impact report designed to make a difference in the hemophilia community and planned and executed the Bleed-Free executive leadership workshop.
Laura also worked in healthcare public relations at Public Communications, Inc., where she created and distributed media monitoring reports, drafted social media content, helped lead media training, and coordinated interviews for the National Society of Genetic Counselors. She secured media coverage for American Academy of Pediatrics’ first-ever Healthy Children Conference & Expo and helped pitch a study for the Academy of General Dentistry. She also secured earned media for multiple Free to Breathe® events, where she received recognition from the Executive Director for an article in The Journal Gazette.
Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from DePaul University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media.
