Morris is a Managing Partner at Finn Partners’ Travel & Economic Development Practice.  In 2013, he merged his highly successful travel and tourism firm – M. Silver Associates – with Finn Partners to form one of the largest travel and hospitality industry practices in the world.

As former founder and CEO of M. Silver, Morris built his agency into one of the country’s top public relations and marketing firms specializing in travel, representing internationally recognized travel industry brands, destinations and lodging companies.  He is considered a leading expert in corporate, aviation and travel sectors, providing strategic and creative counsel to heads of state and C-suite executives.

Silver is a graduate of New York University and attended the Columbia Graduate School of Business.  As a former newspaper journalist covering news, crime and sports beats, he acquired valuable news-making and media management skills that continue to serve as an asset to guiding clients on critical public issues.

He is the first recipient of the coveted Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) Winthrop W. Grice Award for significant contributions to public relations in the hospitality industry.  In addition, Silver has won many industry citations, including more than 300 HSMAI Golden Bell Awards for excellence in travel and tourism public relations.

Morris Silver’s early creative capabilities were demonstrated as public relations counsel for Eastern Airlines where he developed and managed the carrier’s promotional functions on a national basis.  Other aviation experience includes representing Emirates Airline in the North American market for ten years, as well as working with KLM, Aero México, British Caledonian, Continental Airlines, Malev Hungarian Airlines, and the launch of Spirit Airlines.

He also headed up American Express Travel Related Services, Inc., guiding the company’s many promotional campaigns, including its iconic “Charge Against Hunger” corporate social responsibility program.

For I Love New York, a client since 2012, Morris leads a team focused on drawing awareness and visitors to the entire state of New York, working closely with state government tourism and economic development officials.  He heads up the Turkish Tourism and Culture program in the U.S., creating awareness for the destination’s “Istanbul and Beyond” appeal.

Silver holds memberships in the Society of American Travel Writers and Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International.
