HOW'D YOU GET HERE?
I’ve always loved the writing and wanted to do more of that. So in 2001, I decided to leave my last inhouse Communications job one weekend, registered a company on Monday, bought a laptop and a printer, and that was it. My husband and partner, Allan, joined me shortly after. We took it one day at a time, one client at a time. We were small but we gave it our absolute all. And here we are today with a team of almost 40, doing what we love.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
My days are filled by client conversations, messaging workshops, media and crisis communications training, and internal coaching for a fast-growing team. Before starting Ying Communications in 2001, I worked for two great brands, Singapore Airlines and IBM, in customer service, public affairs, communications and corporate sales. Finally, I’m a qualified but completely un-tested English barrister with a law degree from King’s College, University of London.
